Exploring the World of Integrative Wellness at the Conscious Life Expo, Los Angeles

In February 2018, I packed my overnight case, some healthy snacks, my catalog of speakers and events and off I went to the Conscious Life Expo in Los Angeles, CA.  I had planned it for months and spent a great deal of time studying each speaker, the panel discussions and workshops from which to choose. It was like giving a child only 10 minutes in the world's’ largest candy store. There were so many lectures and experiences to choose from, how would I ever make a decision?  If there was ever a time to have the ability to bi-locate and be in several places at the same time it would be the L.A. Conscious Life Expo.

Each year I attend the event, it is both familiar and new.  Many of the speakers and vendors are steady participants and I look forward to reconnecting with their energy.  Many are there for the first time and I am excited to learn about who they are. There is a buzz in the air, for I suspect I am not alone in my feelings of excitement and anticipation.  It’s a reunion for many of us who go out in the world and do this work to be with our kindred spirits. It’s an opportunity for the newly awakened to meet and discover the ones who dedicate themselves to this work in their everyday life. It’s a consciousness party!

Also, each year I attend, I notice there is an unofficial theme or underlying topic which runs through the heart of the lecturers, workshop leaders, and vendors.  This year’s event in February 2018, felt like an urging to be more proactive for the future we are creating in which our children and grandchildren will live. Each talk or panel, from where I sat, communicated the ways of our fathers and grandfathers no longer apply and the unconscious execution of those ideals no longer works.  We must change our thinking and broaden our horizons before we create a world which will be almost impossible to restore balance.

How do we achieve such balance? By becoming aware of the larger picture we are all a part of.  We must abandon the old ideas of living on a planet where we believe we are disconnected from each other, unattached from group consciousness and isolated from the rest of the Universe. We must no longer underestimate the impact our actions have on ourselves, our descendants, the planet and worlds beyond our world.  We accomplish this by gaining an understanding and awareness of oneness with Spirit and then, of course, with each other. If we accomplish this we learn to make aligned decisions which taken into account the whole of the world's populations and the whole of the earth rather than with such (historically) single-mindedness.

The Conscious Life Expo devotes an entire ballroom and lecture hall to the Permaculture group which support and educate on the development of agricultural ecosystems intended to be sustainable and self-sufficient. The panels included a wide array of topics like “High Vibrational Living”, Atmospheric Pollution Solutions”, “Urban Gardening” and several more. We have in our hands' viable solutions and systems which ease and possibly reverse some of the global warming effects. A must see and attend collection of talks and demonstrations!

Sonja Grace gave a lecture entitled “The Fifth Dimension and Alien Influence”  and drew upon many of the topics in her book “Spirit Traveler”. She spoke of the many different eras on earth, the aliens who have visited and influenced our world.  Some, decidedly had self serving agendas while others are present in our day to day life in order to help restore and sustain the earth and its natural habitats. It is difficult for some of us to open our minds and understand the idea of the presence of alien life here on earth, and even more unsettling to understand not all of them are benevolent. She encourages us to “wake up”, call our higher power and exert the highest resistance to our world being at the mercy of those who would take advantage of our unconsciousness.  She was an extraordinary speaker and wisdom giver. www.sonjagrace.com

David Christopher Lewis gave a lecture geared to co-create with participants a live alchemy to accelerate personal and planetary consciousness and joy called “Saint Germain’s Alchemical Activation of Lightworkers”. He used the violet laser light (a more advanced frequency than the violet flame) which quickens global transmutation for miracles and new revelations. He channeled St. Germain’s message “You are a healer and an initiator of grace.  Pour out the fullness of your heart. You will ascend in this life”. Through Lewis, St. Germain encourages us to awaken our inner power and step into our destinies of leaders, healers and change makers. www.heartscenter.org

Gail Thackray gathered a large crowd as she is a long time exhibitor at the expo and is a delight to listen to.  She wore a stunning blue evening gown, not because she wanted to overdress for the occasion, but because there was an astonishing story behind it.  Her beautiful home, ranch with horses and guests house was one of the first fatalities of the Thomas fire which burned just 2 months prior to the expo in December of 2017.  Gail lost her home and all her possessions narrowly escaping with her life and that of her mother and daughters. The dress she worn had been at the cleaners and represents one of her only remaining possessions.  She courageously spoke of our ability to manifest anything we need and how she was fearlessly moving forward to recreate her world and encourages us to do the same. I can hardly wait to see her again in February 2019 to hear what miracles she had created. www.gailthackray.com

Stewart Pearce is one of my favorites.  I always carve out a space to sit in at least one of his lectures or workshops.  He is style, grace, humor and wisdom. His profound connection to the angelic realm, specifically the Angels of Atlantis, make him a remarkable lecturer and spiritual leader.  I have purchased his books, meditations cd’s, oracle cards and a private session with him. He has worked with some of the biggest names in politics and show business to help them find their voice, and he’ll help you find yours too. He calls upon us to look at the institutions which govern our world and our lives and beckons us to create our own powerful voice in order to enact positive change. www.stewartpearce.com

The panel “Solutions for a New Planet” was moving, inspiring and profound.  The panelist were Barbara Marx Hubbard, Xiuhtezcatl Martinez, Lynne McTaggart, Josh Tickell and Susan “Daya” Hamwi. The talk was geared towards exploring how some ideas can actually bring a sustainable future for life on Earth. If we can connect luminary minds by devloping new ways of thinking and bring the global community together, we have the potential to shape our future. Most impressive was of course Ms. Hubbard who has been a global ambassador for conscious change for five decades from her early adulthood.  Her long term vision of the need, and the course, to create change is nothing short of awe. And strangely, sitting on her right was young Xiuhtezcatl more than 60 years her junior and yet just as powerful in his message to make the world a better place for his generation. They sat next to eachother speaking of their deep friendship created on the foundation of a common vision. To finish he sang for the audience one of his songs which had chilling words of the cry of the youth of this world to make it a better place for them to inherit.

I wish I could say I left the expo that evening with a sense of hope for the future.  But, I left with someone far more important. A sense of responsibility. Strong voices are only the beginning.  Aligned community action will be the catalyst. I am brimming with anticapation for the upcoming expos from February 22 through 25, 2019.  I’ll be booking my events and hotel reservations soon. Be a part of this wonderful event and learn about our world and how to help make a better tomorrow for our children and grandchildren.

Please support the expo by purchasing your weekend passes early.  They create a phenominal event year after year for our benefit, educaton, healing and pleasure.   www.consciouslifeexpo.com
